I was wondering if anyone extra techy here can tackle this. I keep getting a BSOD when playing WoW. It happened once in Overwatch too.
I essentially upgraded my entire PC, so I don't if there is some compatibility issues I'm running into or something. Or maybe if there is drivers that aren't getting along. I'm currently running the Driver Verifier and really trying to put the PC under heavy load, but no detailed BSOD yet.
Here is the dump file. The biggest thing I've seen is intelppm relates to drivers, but I've also seen people say that the intelppmMWaitIdle process is something happening with the CPU.
I would appreciate any kind of help/advice/experience with this issue. It's been happening for two days.
*If this dump info breaks any kind of length rule, a mod can delete this post. Just desperate. :(

  • What is intelppm? The genuine intelppm.sys file is a software component of Microsoft Windows by Microsoft. Windows is a range of operating systems developed by Microsoft. The Intel Processor Driver is a Windows service that allows communication between the OS and the hardware installed in.
  • In short, intelppm.sys is a Microsoft Intel processor driver that should be located in the C: Windows System32 drivers directory. The intelppm.sys process is part of Microsoft Windows.
  • Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 has been extremely slow on my laptop, and the cause of it apears to be the Intel Power Management driver. There are no problems with the initial Windows 8 installation. When installing the Windows 8.1 upgrade from the store, the computer restarts and takes hours to complete.
  • The file intelppm.sys is from the software called the Processor Device Driver. The software which is a driver came from Microsoft Corporation. This driver has the ability to communicate with the internals of the Operating System and with the Hardware system.
  • The 'Processor Device Driver' (intelppm.sys, 10.0.10586.0) of Windows 10 (v1511) does have a function called 'IsHwpSupported' which is used to check if HWP is supported by the processor via the CPUID command during the OS boot.
  • Also, Did Not Load Driver @cpu.inf Intelppm.devicedesc Intel Processor errors are very common during PC restarts that immediately follow a previous improper shutdown and recent virus or malware infection recovery.
What did you add, Kavmir?
Let's make sure all of your motherboard drivers are up to date.
If they're all installed and up to date, there shouldn't be any Problem Devices listed:
  • Hit the Windows Key + R, and type:
  • msinfo32
  • Expand the Components section
  • Click on Problem Devices

There is nothing about my motherboard listed among the problem devices.
I added: i7 6700k CPU, 288 pin GSkill 16GB RAM, GTX 1070, WD Black HDD 3TB, Logitech Mouse and Corsair Keyboard.
Not sure if any of this info will help or not. Let me know what else I can supply you with. I have a OneDrive file of the 4 recent dump files if that would personally do you any good. Let me know.

Did you reinstall the OS when you upgraded the system?
There is also no mention of your psu. WHat is your power supply rated for?
http://images10.newegg.com/BizIntell/tool/psucalc/index.html?name=Power-Supply-Wattage-Calculator is one of many online, add up everything you have with one, make sure your still within your power supplies rating.
I have done a clean install since this post. The problem still continues.
It only occurs when playing online video games. I can play WoW and OW for about 10 minutes, before it BSODs, but playing non-online games does not cause any crashes.
I have installed the newest Ethernet drivers, and still it happens. Could this be Mobo failure?
Could this be Mobo failure?

It sounds like it may be - just to double-check, you've installed these Realtek drivers?
Do you have a spare network card you could test with?

I have installed those drivers, yes.
I do not have any kind of extra network card to test with, unfortunately..
I thought this was only occurring with games that utilize online features, but DOOM produced the same BSOD after a few minutes of playing.
Can you post some information from CPU-Z? http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.76-en.exe
Run CPU-Z, and then click on the About tab.
At the bottom, there is a Tools section. Click on Save Report (.HTML).
Hit Save, and that will create a file on your desktop.
Open the .htm file, and you can copy and paste the info from the html file into a new post.
After you paste everything into a post, highlight everything, and hit the 'pre' button (It says 'Code Blocks' when you hover your mouse over it). That'll make the information much more readable.
